Thankfully my previous colleague has one additional ticket to Harry Potter movie 5 and has invited me to go (I almost forgot that big firms offer more benefits to their employees). So it will be great to watch this newly released Harry Potter movie 5 and receive newly published Harry Potter book 7 after a few days.

1. Turns 30
2. Work and study. However, work has been busy lately, and I feel tired after work most of the time and decide not to study for the bar....when the work is not so busy, I feel that I want to rest....

萬華直興市場海鱻味
在阿虔的網站上看到有網友推薦，又剛好被老闆氣到心情不好，於是決定當晚坐計程車殺到萬華，嚐嚐美味的壽司。
我們點了大名鼎鼎的炙壽司，老闆在做好的壽司上，用噴槍在魚身上各烤了幾秒鐘，把魚的脂肪鎖住，形成外熟內生的情況，並且在烤好的魚身上抹上一點點美乃滋和蔥花，嚐起來嫩嫩甜甜的，口感挺特別。可惜吃太快來不及照下來。
左起：生魚片沙拉，雪魚肝，烤牛肉片。
生魚片沙拉：生魚片底部是三種不同的藻類，並且淋上芝麻醬，看到就覺得很好吃！
雪魚肝與烤牛肉片：因為東西很好吃，等到想起來要拍照時已經只剩下殘存的幾小片了（羞）。剛送上來的雪魚肝是照片上的三四倍大，味道一點都不腥，但是後來發現那雪魚肝是從罐頭拿出來的，有些失望。烤牛肉片：做法的觀念和炙壽司很像，就是把一大塊的牛肉拿去烤，烤完切片時就變成外熟內生的情況，口感軟軟的可以嚐到牛肉的原味。

難忘的亞都麗緻巴黎廳1930 (My birthday feast--Paris 1930)
生日晚上到亞都麗緻巴黎廳1930去慶生，因為氣氛超好，一進去就覺得很開心。主廚是新請來的加籍法國料理廚師，雖然餐廳叫做巴黎廳1930，其實是改良過的創意料理，不盡然全是法國料理。即使picky如我，還是覺得那裡的食物很好吃，服務又貼心，整個人都快要被那種紛圍給融化了。
我的麗緻精選套餐似乎有十幾道菜，光是甜點就上了三道（又加上生日蛋糕），每道菜都有很不錯的水準。尤其是開胃菜奶油龍蝦，雖然在美國常吃到龍蝦，不過這裡加上一點芥末醬的吃法真的很特別。小牛肉也很讚，以前吃到的小牛肉(veal)往往都有一股小牛的腥味，不過這裡吃到的只有美味。吃到一半鋼琴伴奏突然奏起生日快樂歌，侍者們圍繞著當日壽星高唱生日快樂，還好我們已經先跟餐廳打好招呼，才沒有讓low key的我當場覺得很尷尬。花大錢享受果然是很值得的，巴黎廳1930真的是special occasion適合約會的場所喔！

TW bar exam, the worst nightmare
OK, since my boss has been threatening me to take the TW bar exam and pass the test since I started the job, and I don't want to be kicked out of the firm (except I quit the job, haha....), I decided to re-take the damned test once again and applied to sit for the bar on the last day of the application period. Upon my decision is made, here lies two main big problems: First, usually people take a full year to prepare for the TW bar. With only 2 months left for the bar exam and only few hours available after work each day, I don't know if I can win this game. Secondly, it's too late to enroll in a bar preparation course now. Without the help from the cram school where it helps gather bar exam material and useful bar info, I have no choice but to cram the god damned textbooks and work on my own. Thirdly, since Taiwan is a civil law country, memorize all the TW rules and regulations are necessary (no wonder I failed before).

想飛的鋼琴少年 (Vitus)--值得看的電影
今天去看了想飛的鋼琴少年（美國片名：Vitus），這部片敘述一個12歲的天才兒童成長的故事，雖然是部溫馨可愛的電影（小男孩實在太可愛），但卻也有些發人省思的地方。劇中小天才的爸媽為了炫耀自己有個天才兒子，常要兒子在賓客面前彈奏鋼琴，並且為了培養寶貝兒子的能力，帶他拜訪鋼琴名師、費盡心力讓他進高中讀書。雖然小天才也愛彈琴，但是卻在媽媽的種種嚴格要求與期待下，愈來愈不快樂，為了擺脫枷鎖，小天才自導自演了一齣戲，讓家人、老師、醫師通通以為他不再是個智商180的天才，而變成了智商120的平凡人。
這不禁讓我想到，現在的父母，常常在小孩子小的時候，就逼著小孩去學琴，上才藝班，在該是蹦蹦跳跳的童年時，就被規定著許多功課，給小孩每天沒有彈琴兩小時就不可以出去玩等等限制。我記得以前去同學家玩時，發現家家客廳裡都會擺著一台鋼琴，那之後我就常想應該許多人在小時候都曾被逼著學琴吧？然而，還有多少人在爸媽不再施壓之後，還保有彈琴的習慣或者興趣呢？家裡的鋼琴最終只是成為了餵灰塵的擺設罷了。這究竟真的是「我是為了你好」，還是只是為了滿足大人的虛榮心？雖然我不是天才兒童，但看到這個小天才的故事，我看到了以前老是因為練琴而不能出去跟鄰居玩耍的小可憐。

波斯天堂 Persian Heavan Restaurant
五月初的星期五，與舊同事們於波斯天堂聚餐，並幫素娟慶生。
不知道為什麼侍者一直推薦羊肉串，說是這裡的羊肉沒有羊騷味。我覺得很奇怪：難道沒有羊騷味不應該是羊肉的基本要求嗎？怎麼變成推薦這道菜的主要理由？？不過味道還是不錯啦！
初嚐伊朗紅茶，苦得要命，丟了一塊方糖才勉強喝下去，不建議。

Going on 30
I remember I had this odd feeling when I had my 20-year-old birthday, but I was still excited that I have finally become a grown-up.
And now, time flies, and I am about to leave my 20s and going on 30. I know some people may think that the 30-year-old birthday is nothing but one of the days in your life, but the truth is, I am scared. Although being 30 doesn't have such a legal meaning as of being 20, it sure has some sociological or biological meaning that matters more to me at this stage. I am terrified that everything in my life is still uncertain.

Final book in the Harry Potter series
I've become a loyal reader of Harry Potter stories since I first read it at Ms. Reed's house. One day out of boredom I took the first Harry Potter series "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" from the bookshelf and I was immediately drawn in by the world of witchcraft and wizards created by the author J. K. Rowling and just couldn't stop reading it. The funny thing is, though they are children's books, yet they attract readers from all age groups. Don't give up on the books if you find the movies not so interesting. The books explain the details and are much better than the movies.
I've learned that the 7th and final book in Harry Potter series will be released on July 21, 2007, so today I pre-ordered it from the on-line bookstore. Since it is guaranteed release-date delivery, I will be able to receive a copy of this book on the release date! I, like the other Harry Potter fans from all over the world, anxiously await for its release.

Music and Lyrics
Hugh Grant在這部片裡演一個80年代過氣歌手，為了想要翻身，只好找Drew Barrymore幫他作詞，趕在幾天之內共同創作了一首歌給年輕當紅女歌手， 希望在她的新專輯裡能被採用。雖然這部片裡男女主角的愛情並不深刻（也許愛情在本片中並不是重點），但是Hugh Grant在本片中穿著緊身褲扭屁股唱80年代的歌真的很好笑，而且重點是，Hugh Grant 與Drew Barrymore共同創作出來的"Way Back Into Love"實在非常好聽，衝著這一點就已經很值得看這部電影了。
